Osaka, Japan - As expected, double Olympic 200m champion Veronica Campbell-Brown (JAM), World Shot Put champion Christian Cantwell (USA) and World Discus Throw gold medallist Dani Samuels (AUS) won at the Osaka Grand Prix – IAAF World Challenge - which was held on Saturday 8 May in Nagai stadium, the venue of 2007 World Championships. |

On his third appearance in the Munich final, Mikhail Youzhny finally laid his hands on the BMW Open by FWU RETAKAFUL trophy with a hard-fought 6-3, 4-6, 6-4 victory over top seed Marin Cilic. The Russian, who had finished runner-up in 2007 (l. to Kohlschreiber) and 2009 (l. to Berdych), received a new BMW 325i convertible from the title sponsor. |

The Stockholm based agency, IEC in Sports, has acquired the international TV-rights for ATP Stuttgart and Vienna for the upcoming three-year-period. “These two events add a strong input to our tennis programming portfolio”, Jonas Persson, CEO of IEC in Sports says. |

The second and final day of the FINA-LI NING Diving World Series 2010 in Veracruz (MEX, April 16-17) concluded with four more gold medals for the Chinese team and the success of its stars Bo Qiu, Zi He, Hao Wang/Chen Ruolin, Zhang Xinhua/Qin Kai. China won seven of the eight titles to be distributed in Mexico, the second stop of this year's series. The only exception to this supremacy happened in the men's 3m springboard event, won by Alexandre Despatie (CAN). |

ATP World Tour No. 23 Stanislas Wawrinka won the second title of his career as he comfortably dismissed third seed Victor Hanescu 6-2, 6-3 in the final of the Grand Prix Hassan II. It was the Swiss' first appearance in Casablanca. Victory ended a run of five successive defeats for Wawrinka in ATP World Tour finals. |

It has since its launch in January 2010 reached global distribution with broadcasters on all continents. Korea and China were the only winners as the curtains came down on the WILSON Swiss Open in Basel on Sunday. China bagged three gold medals, winning the men’s singles, women’s singles and women’s doubles titles. Korea, on the other hand, claimed the men’s doubles gold after a superb run by Ko Sung Hyun-Yoo Yeon Seong in the tournament culminating with their first ever Super Series title of their career and the mixed doubles title. Ko-Yoo beat top seeds and World No 1 Koo Kien Keat-Tan Boon Heong of Malaysia in straight games 21-18, 21-16. |
